As a conclusion of the project “K5K” late September 2008, a new logistics center for large components was put into operation. Bogies, wheelsets and drive units for diesel railcars are stored in about 5.500 m².
Through new device for the storage of the bogies designed by Dr. Schönheit + Partner 50% of the originally planed space could be saved. This a good example of how small ideas can have a big impact.
