In 6 years the vehicle maintenance plant has been restructured and modernized by Dr. Schönheit + Partner. In the project “Kassel – 5 days-concept” all manufacturing areas have been optimized according to lean production principles and they have been connected to an integrated production system. The lead times of the vehicles has been reduced by 85%. The productivity has increased from 150 inspection per year to 500 inspections per year with identical number of employees.
