Dr. Schönheit + Partner reorganized the printing tower assembly of the mid-format to a flexible assembly line flow, by adjusting the assembly, the logistics, the working time modell and the order process. Transparency and effectiveness could be significantly increased, despite an extremely high variance and optionality of the individual printing units. The structured takt revealed more optimization potentials in other areas of the factory as well as the need for more disciplin and continuos improvement.
